Three renowned First American opera soloists will combine talents June 13-15 for performances of “Tosca,” a well-known classic Italian opera.

It was 2015. “Te Ata,” a full-length movie filmed a year earlier celebrating the life of Chickasaw entertainer Mary Frances Thompson Fisher, was in postproduction and was not ready for release.

Whether it be ancestors of the past harvesting native vegetation or present-day farmers bailing hay for their cattle to graze in the winter, the Chickasaw people have long appreciated and utilized agriculture for self-sufficiency.

The Chickasaw Nation will have an enhanced presence at this year’s prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market as it seeks to educate film enthusiasts and recruit film and documentary talent.

The Chickasaw Nation Productions’ documentary “Pearl Carter Scott: On Top of the World” will air 4:30 p.m., July 14, on Chicago Access Network Television Channel 27. This will be followed by a 4:30 a.m. viewing July 15.
